The Voice US Season 7 - Top 32

Hello!!!

The Voice is back!!!! Like 2 months ago lol. But I'm too lazy to make a review during the early stages. I felt like it was too long and exhausted. So I was basically waiting for the Knockout Round which is definitely my favorite stage in The Voice. Here are Top 32 who will compete in the KR next week. 

Team Adam

Adam has a solid team again this season. I really like Chris. I think he has a very beautiful tone. Damien, Blessing & Toia are very similar to me. I like Toia the most. As for the other girls, I love Mia's tone. Kinda reminds me of Camilla from Fifth Harmony. Alessandra has potential but she didn't really stood out yet. Rebekah was montaged in her Blind Audition and Battle Round which kinda unfair to her because she has such a beautiful quirky tone. Matt is definitely one of the standout in the early rounds. It's really tough, but my Top 5 from Team Adam are Chris, Mia, Rebekah, Matt & Alessandra.

Team Blake

Blake has a very strong team this time. He has 3 female singers with powerful voice. I love Reagan so much. And Taylor B also a stand out for me. Allison is also another country singer but I felt like she was overshadowed by Reagan & Taylor B a little bit. Another female singer, Jessie has a very light quirky tone. Reminds me of Ellie Goulding's voice. The male singers didn't really grab my attention though except for James David. He's definitely a winner potential for me. Really strong country voice. Grant & Tanner are too young for this competition and Griffin, I can't remember who he is. So my top 5 are James David, Reagan, Taylor B, Allison & Jessie

Team Gwen

Gwen Stefani is one of the new judges this season. I think she did well so far. Her song choice are really good and majority of her artistes were stole by the other mentors but she still left with stronger artistes. Anita is my favorite. Something about her is very interesting. Bryana is very commercial. Strong pop vocalist. I also like Ryan & Beth. Craig is a very good steal for Gwen because she didn't have a country artist in her team. The other 3 singers are good too. It's going to be hard for Gwen to pick her team later. My top 5 are Anita, Bryana, Ryan, Beth & Craig. 

Team Pharell

Team Pharell is definitely the strongest team this season. All 8 of them are really interesting. Danica is such a powerful vocalist. Katriz has so much potential and Jean has a very rich tone. As for the male vocalist, Taylor P is definitely one of the frontrunners. Menlik is very good. I also like Ricky, Luke & Elyjuh. I have no idea how Pharell going to pick only 4 of them. But my Top 5 are Taylor P, DaNica, Katriz, Jean & Elyjuh.

Next week, KR will start. Taylor Swift will be the advisor for the Knockout Round. I can't wait to see her. 

The Voice Season 6 - Top 5 Live Show

Hello!!!

2 weeks more and then we will find out who's the winner of The Voice Season 6. But first, here are my review of this week performance. Contestants will sing 2 songs; Contestant's Choice & Coach's Choice. 

1. Kristen Merlin (Gunpowder & Lead by Miranda Lambert & Foolish Games by Jewel)

~ Her first performance was so solid. I love her energy but it was a little bit safe for me. But her second performance was brilliant. I love her emotion. She connected to the song really well. Such a perfect song for her. I really want her to be in the final. B & A

2. Josh Kaufman (All Of Me by John Legend & Love Runs Out by OneRepublic)

~ Josh had two good performances this week. I loved All Of Me more than Love Runs Out but he definitely should be in the final. All Of Me was one of the song that I wanted him to sing. Another one is Mirror. I hope he'll get a chance to sing that song next week. A & B+

3. Kat Perkins (Let It Go by Idina Menzel & Chandelier by Sia)

~ Majesty Rose from American Idol performed Let It Go before but it was such a mess. I think Kat did better than Majesty but still, I don't think this is a perfect song for her. I love Chandelier. It's a tough song to sing but I think Kat did a good job with it. B- & A-

4. Christina Grimmie (Hide & Seek by Imogen Heap & Some Nights by Fun)

~ I think vocally, Christina sounded great. I like what she did with Hide & Seek and Some Nights also had some good moment in it but I still think she underperformed. I expected better from her cause she was always great with her song choice. I'm not sure if her fans want to buy these two songs because the original songs were already perfect. A- & B

5. Jake Worthington (Good Ol' Boys by Waylon Jennings & Heaven by Bryan Adams)

~ I was ready to count Jake out after his first performance. There was nothing special with that performance. But then he came up with Heaven and reminded me how I fell in love with his voice. Song choices are crucial for him. With the perfect song, I think he could win this competition. B- & A

~ I'm really sad to see both Kristen & Kat went home but I totally expected that was going to happen. Kristen had so many moments in this season. She's a truly underdog. Same as Kat. I never thought that I'm going to root for her. 

Final 3 is going to be so tough and close. Jake, with the perfect song can win this. Josh is so consistent and he made it to the Top 10 on Itunes Chart more than Christina & Jake (3 times). And Christina will definitely make a comeback after a lackluster week. 

The Voice Season 6 - Top 8 Live Show

Hello!!!

This week, 3 contestants will be eliminated instead of two which is so crazy. I'm so nervous for my favorites. But here are my review of this week performance.

1. Sisaundra Lewis (River Deep Mountain High by Ike & Tina Turner)

~ Arghh this song... The same song that got Pia Toscano eliminated from American Idol Season 10. Sisaundra performed so well but there's no way, she'll escape the bottom 4 with this song. Poor song choice from her. B-

2. Josh Kaufman (I Can't Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt)

~ I think this song is perfect for Josh. However I found it a little bit sleepy but overall, I think people will love this. And his fans is going to vote for him. Great vocal performance from Josh. B+

3. Kat Perkins (Get Lucky by Daft Punk Ft Pharell)

~ I think this performance is such a polarizing performance but I love it. I love her energy. Unlike Sisaundra, she picked better song. I'm not sure how she's going to survive this week considering she was barely survived the elimination last week but her chance is definitely better than Sisaundra. A-

4. Kristen Merlin (I Drive Your Truck by Luke Brian)

~ This isn't one of my favorite performance from Kristen. A little bit predictable and sleepy. I want her to attack more but her voice is so beautiful. I just want her to deliver it more. B

5. Delvin Choice (I Believe I Can Fly by R.Kelly)

~ Well, if he survive this, I'm not sure what else to say. This is so predictable. The song choice, the performance, the vocal. Everything was so predictable. I can't believe he chose this song. Goodbye, Delvin. C- 

6. Audra McLaughlin (Forgive by Rebecca Lynn Howard)

~ I want Audra to make it to the Top 5. I think she deserved that. She's very consistent however compared to the last 3 weeks, this is my least favorite performance from her. However, it's still better than some of the other contestants this week. B+

7. Jake Worthington (Hillbilly Deluxe by Brooks & Dunn)

~ Okay. I give up on Jake. I really like him but again and again, he didn't performed well. I can't understand some of his phrasing. He became so predictable lately. Too bad cause I really like his voice. C+

8. Christina Grimmie (How To Love by Lil Wayne)

~ Last round was so epic. And Christina continues her streak of good performances. Her technical skills are so good. I love the way she controlled her high notes. A-

I think Delvin & Sisaundra deserved to be eliminated over their poor song choice but Audra. I think she nailed her instant save performance more than Kat but Kat had better performance this week. So I was so torn. 

Next week, two more artistes will be eliminated leaving three finalists to compete in the finale. Right now, my prediction for the finale are Christina, Josh & Kristen but I believe somehow Jake will be there over Kristen. I love Jake but Kristen deserved that spot more than him. 

The Voice Season 6 - Top 10 Live Show

Hello!!!

Last week, Tess was saved from the elimination. Will she become the first singer to avoid the elimination after being saved in the previous week? I'm really nervous for her cause she's my favorite. Here are my recap for this week performance.

1. Kat Perkins (Landslide by Fleetwood Mac)

~ I think it's a very solid performance. I love when Kat controlled her voice because she has such a beautiful tone. However, I'm not sure if this performance able to save her from the bottom 3. But I still like it. B+

2. Tess Boyer (Ain't It Fun by Paramore)

~ Unlike last week, the song this week was current. Currently Top 15 in Itunes Chart. But I don't think this song is suitable for singing competition. Tess did a good job with it. However I still think she's going to end up in the bottom 3 again this week. B+

3. Audra McLaughlin (You Lie by The Band Perry)

~ Audra continued to surprise me. Such a beautiful performance from her. Her high notes was perfect. I love the way she connected to the song. She looked so beautiful. A

4. Josh Kaufman (This Is It by Kenny Loggins)

~ I'm not sure if this is the right song for him. He sounded so dated. Last week he was brilliant but this week it was just an okay performance for me. I still love his voice. B

5. Christina Grimmie (Hold On, We're Going Home by Drake)

~ Christina nailed it again this week. This is definitely my favorite performance from her so far. I love the build up in this performance. Her high notes are amazing. Christina is definitely the one to beat right now and it's going to be tough for other people to beat her. A+

6. Jake Worthington (Run by George Straits)

~ Jake struggled at the beginning. I can't hear what he was singing. But he managed to catch up. His tone is beautiful but for the second week in a row, Jake didn't live up to his potential and I'm really upset with him. B-

7. Bria Kelly (I'm With You by Avril Lavigne)

~ I think this is a perfect song for Bria. She started beautifully but it's all ended when she started to scream. I'm not sure how she's going to survive with this performance. C

8. Delvin Choice (Bright Lights by Gary Clark Jr.)

~ I was ready to give this performance a C but the ending might just save him from the elimination. I still don't like his song choice but he killed it on the last note. B+

9. Kristen Merlin (Let Her Go by The Passenger)

~ For the second week in a row, Kristen stunned me with her vocal performance. She has such a very soothing tone and it is perfect for this song. Her emotion was there and just like that, she became a real threat in this competition. A

10. Sisaundra Lewis (Oh Sherrie by Steve Perry)

~ Unlike Delvin, Sisaundra picked a very interesting song for her and it worked. She rocked the stage and I think rock songs were perfect for her vocal. I'm glad she chose to steer away from R&B/Soul this week. A

The Voice Season 6 - Top 12 Live Show

Overall, I think The Voice has better finalists than American Idol this season. I love the diversity in the Top 12. Here is my recap on what happened this week. 

1. Bria Kelly (Rolling in the Deep by Adele)

~ I'm not really a fan of the arrangement. It's too loud. I love that she didn't sing it like Adele but the arrangement didn't suit the song at all. And Bria needs to tone down the scream. More singing and less screaming. B

2. Delvin Choice (Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers)

~ I can't believe someone still picked this song. It's so boring and even Delvin tried to make the song more current with his runs, it just didn't work out well. C

3. Dani Moz (Just Give Me A Reason by Pink)

~ Another Pink's song from her. I don't like this route for her. I think she's much better with singer/songwriter route than this pop/rock thing. She did a good job but a little bit messy at the end. I'm not sure if this performance able to save her this week. B

4. Audra McLaughlin (Angel of the Morning by Juice Newton)

~ Audra picked a good song for her. Beautiful vocal performance from her. I really like this. A-

5. T.J. Wilkins (Waiting on the World to Change by John Mayer)

~ At least T.J. picked a current song for him this week. But this is so unforgettable. I'm not sure if it's enough to get him through to next week. B-

6. Christina Grimmie (Dark Horse by Katy Perry)

~ Christina nailed it again this week. I love her version. She has a very thin voice but her technical skill and the way she controlled it make her tone sounds so pleasant. She's definitely the one to beat. A

7. Sisaundra Lewis (Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me by Elton John)

~ I need Sisaundra to pick the better song for her next week cause this one just average for me. Good vocal but that's it. She's so much better than this. B

8. Kristen Merlin (Stay by Sugarland)

~ I'm not going to touch on the technical problem. I think she nailed it. She manage to leave impact with her performance and she needs that impact this week. Beautiful vocal. I love this. A

9. Kat Perkins (Magic Man by Heart)

~ I love Kat but this performance was so average for me. I didn't like the song choice. But I do love her energy and the way she communicate with the audience. B

10. Jake Barker (Anymore by Travis Tritt)

~ I'm not so sure with the song choice. A little bit too generic this week. He needs a better song next week. This performance was just okay for me. I think he can do better. B

11. Tess Boyer (I'll Be There For You by Bon Jovi)

~ Tess is a great singer and I think her performance is quite strong but this song? I didn't like it. I don't think people want to download this song on Itunes. B+

12. Josh Kaufman (Stay With Me by Sam Smith)

~ Currently, this is one of my songs and Josh did so well. Perfect song choice for him. I think he can win this competition. He just proved that Adam made a stupid mistake to choose Delvin over him. A

The Voice Season 6 - Playoffs (Top 20)

Hello!!!

It's time for the Playoffs. This is the last round before the live show next week. Judges will narrow their team from 5 to only 3 artistes. Here are the Top 3 for each team

Team Blake

Sisaundra Lewis, Jake Worthington & Audra McLaughlin

~ I think Blake made a right decision even though I really want to see Madilyn in the Top 3. Overall, Blake has a very strong team. Sisaundra isn't a typical Team Blake's member. Jake is so likeable while Audra has such an angelic vocal. 

Team Shakira

Kristen Merlin, Dani Moz & Tess Boyer

~ I thought Team Shakira was going to be the weakest team this season but I was wrong. She has 3 powerhouse vocalists in her team. Tess Boyer has the strongest vocal this season. Dani Moz really shocked me with her performance and Kristen, I love her tone so much. And she's different. I don't think I ever see a country singer like her. 

Team Adam

Kat Perkins, Delvin Choice & Christina Grimmie

~ Adam is so lucky to have Christina in his team. I'm not sure with the other two choices. I was so surprised when he didn't picked Jake Barker. I love Jake's performance this week. Except for Christina, I don't think Kat & Delvin will last long in this competition. 

Team Usher

~ To me, Usher made a wrong decision this week. His team isn't as stronger as before now. I love Josh performance. And Bria was just okay for me but I totally get when he picked her. But T.J? Over Stevie Jo & Melissa. So wrong. There's nothing unique with T.J. He's definitely going to lost T.J next week.

The Voice Season 6 - Battle Rounds Part 2 (Top 20)

Hello!!!

Another Battle Round? When I heard about another battle round, I was like no!!! Because I really want to see them sing solo. I like the Knockout Round format more than Battle Round Part 2. Here are the current team members from every team. 

Team Adam

 

~ Adam picked Christina, Delvin, Jake & Kat as the winners from the battle and stole Morgan from Team Usher. It's a very solid team. The battles were evenly matched. I was surprised with Kat. I personally love Dawn & Hawkes but I've to agree with Adam's decision because Kat did better than D&H. I also surprised that Adam chose to let go Josh over Delvin but I get it that he want diversity in his team. I was so happy when he stole Morgan cause I really like the raspy-ness in his voice. As for my Top 3 picks from Team Adam, I'm going with Christina Grimmie, Jake Barker & Morgan Wallen with Kat Perkins as fourth choice. 

Team Blake

 

~ Blake picked Audra, Jake W, Ryan & Sisaundra as the winners from the battles and stole Madilyn from Team Usher. I really like Jake W. I think he's better than the other country singers in the reality tv right now (Dexter, CJ & Ben from American Idol). I also love Madilyn's tone so much. Audra is a very traditional country singer. Reminds me of Miranda Lambert and also Carrie Underwood's style. Sisaundra.. I like her but I'm not sure how she's going to fit the current music industry. Ryan has great voice but he's not really memorable. For my Top 3, I pick Jake Worthington, Madilyn Paige & Sisaundra Lewis with Audra as my fourth choice. 

Team Shakira

~ Shakira picked Dani, Deja, Kristen & Patrick as the winners from the battles and stole Tess from Team Blake. Firstly, no Clarissa.. Wow. I totally get that Dani performed better than Clarissa but at the same time I think Clarissa is Shakira's best shot to win The Voice. Deja was good but too young. Kristen & Patrick were not really memorable during their battles. Fortunately for Shakira, she stole a very strong female singer, Tess Boyer. This girl is so good. I think she has better shot to make it to the final 3 with Team Shakira over the other teams. So I'm glad that she picked Shakira as her new mentor. My Top 3 picks are Tess, Dani & Deja with Kristen as my fourth choice. 

Team Usher

~ Usher picked Bria, Melissa, Stevie Jo & T.J. as the winners from the battles and stole Josh from Team Adam. Usher still has some of the best singer in his team. I don't really get T.J.'s style but the other 4 are really strong singers for me. Bria really needs a better song for her vocal because for the second time in a row she was overshadowed by her opponents (Tess in Battle 1 & Madilyn in Battle 2). Usher still has some faith on her. Melissa is very dynamic. I love her. Stevie Jo & Josh are kinda similar to me. I mean their style. Both of them have a very good contemporary R&B choice. T.J is a R&B singer too but he is more traditional and old-fashioned to me. My Top 3 are Bria, Melissa & Stevie Jo with Josh as my fourth choice. 

Here are some of the artist that we lost from Battle Round Part 2 who I think should go through to the Playoff Round

~ I think these 5 deserved another chance. Since Chris Martin was such a great mentor why don't he picks these 5 to be on his team. Lol.. Just my wishful thinking. I'll see you after the Playoffs!!!

The Voice Season 6 - Battle Rounds (Top 32)

The Battle Rounds were over. But this season, we're going to have another Battle Rounds. Instead of Knockout Rounds, the producer chose to have Battle Rounds Part 2. Honestly, I prefer the Knockout Rounds more because I want to judge them on their solo performance instead of another duet performance. No matter what, here are the current team so far;

Team Adam

Battle Winners: Sam Behymer, Delvin Choice, Josh Kaufman, Christina Grimmie, Dawn & Hawkes & Kat Perkins. 

~ We didn't get to see full battle from Christina but I still think she's a frontrunner along with Josh and Dawn & Hawkes. Not really a fan of Delvin & Kat but Sam, she really surprised me in her battle. She defeated a 4-chairs artist, Cary Laine. I thought Cary is going to defeat her easily. 

Stolen: Jake Barker & Brittnee Camille

~ Adam was the first coach to use both of his steals and I think he stole 2 strong artist. Jake is such a good artist. Like I said before, I really like his tone. And Brittnee, she improved from her audition. 

Top 4 Prediction (Team Adam):

Christina Grimmie, Josh Kaufman, Jake Barker and Dawn & Hawkes

Team Blake

Battle Winners: Audra McLaughlin, Megan Ruger, Ryan White Maloney, Kaleigh Glanton, Sisaundra Lewis & Jake Worthington

~ Blake also has a strong team this season. I love the diversity in Blake's team this season. I love Sisaundra. Megan has a great rock tone. I also like Jake W. I'm torn between Audra & Kaleigh. I think both artist are too similar and only one of them will make it to the Playoffs. Not really a fan of Ryan. 

Stolen: Tess Boyer & Biff Gore

~ I remember Tess' audition even though it was montaged because she sang Wings from Little Mix and when she was paired with the one with the strongest audition this cycle, Bria Kelly, I thought she was done but to me actually she slayed Bria. I totally get why Usher picked Bria so I'm really happy that Blake chose to steal Tess. She deserved that. However Blake kinda wasted his steal on Biff. I don't get that. 

Top 4 Prediction (Team Blake):

Team Shakira

Battle Winners: Ddendyl, Emily B, Deja Hall, Kristen Merlin, Dani Moz & Clarissa Serna.

~ Clarissa is definitely Shakira's strongest chance to win The Voice. But Deja also has some potential. The other 4 winners weren't really memorable for me. They were good but that's it. Nothing special. 

Stolen: Josh Murley & Patrick Thompson

~ I don't know why but I think Shakira wasted both of her steals this season. I don't think any of the stolen artist from her team could win this season

Top 4 Prediction (Team Shakira):

Clarissa Serna, Deja Hall, Kristen Merlin & Patrick Thompson. 

Team Usher

Battle Winners: Melissa Jimenez, Stevie Jo, Bria Kelly, Morgan Wallen, TJ Wilkins & Madilyn Paige.

~ Usher clearly has strong team this season. Out of the 8 stolen artists, half of them came from Team Usher. But Usher still has strong artist in his team. I love Melissa, Bria, Stevie & Madilyn. Not really a fan of TJ and I still want to know more about Morgan. He can be a surprise. 

Stolen: Music Box & Cierra Mickens

~ Usher took such a long time to steal his first artist then he chose to sing Music Box? I was like that his special one that he's been waiting. But Usher redeemed himself when he stole Cierra who I think should win over Emily B. 

Top 4 Prediction (Team Usher):

I can't wait to see the next Battle. I hope it's worth it for the producer to change the format this season. 

The Voice Season 6 - Top 48 & Full Team

Hello!!!

The Voice is back. I felt like it was just yesterday Tessanne Chin was crowned as the winner, but we have another season already. But the good news is, we have Usher & Shakira again. More good news, no more Ceelo Green in the future season of The Voice. 

Here are the Top 48 for this season. 

Team Adam

Team Adam this season is not as strong as last season but there are still a couple of my favorites in his team. Here are my top 6 from Team Adam

- Christina Grimmie: She's a Youtube artist. I known her and used to watch lot of her video at Youtube. She has a very thin but strong tone. Quite unique and distinctive. 

- Sam Behymer: She's so cute. She has a very quirky tone. And lovable personality. 

- Dawn & Hawkes: Alex & Sierra 2.0 but they are still different enough. I love their audition. So much potential. 

- Josh Kaufman: The strongest male vocalist this season. I love his tone. 

- Caleb Elder: He was the last contestants on Team Adam. Great personality. I love his attitude. Very commercial. 

- Cary Laine: She's a four chair. Strong country voice. She's a mother and her son is so adorable. 


Team Blake

I was surprised with Team Blake this season. Not so many country singers. He's using a different strategy this season. Here are my favorites from Team Blake

- Audra McLaughlin: She has a beautiful pop country tone. To me she's one of the strongest country singer this season. 

- Sisaundra Lewis: She's so energetic. Lot of singing experiences. 

- Jake Worthington: The only male country singer from Team Blake but he's good. He used to audition before and I hate his audition but this season, his audition is actually one of my favorites.

- Megan Ruger: She's a pop rock singer. Love her tone so much. Reminds me of Pink. 

- Paula Deanda: She's a former recording artist. Her most popular single was 'Walk Away'. One of my favorite when I was still a teenage. Rooting for her

- Kaleigh Glanton: Country singer. Beautiful tone but her tone to me was pure country compared to Audra. Not sure if Blake wants to have two country female singers in his team. 


Team Shakira

Team Shakira this season is much better than her last team. But still, Shakira has the least number of 4-Chairs artist in her team. 

- Clarissa Serna: Her only 4-Chairs artist. And her audition is my favorite this season. She sings Zombie and it's so good. 

- Ddendyl: Unique name and her voice is quite unique too. Quirky vibes and has so much potential

- Jeremy Briggs: He gave me a classic rocker vibes from his audition. Reminds me of Bon Jovi. I'm worried though if the judges think he's a dated rocker. 

- Kristen Merlin: Country female singer but she's so unique due to her appearance. 

- Dani Moz: She's a soul pop singer. Strong voice. 

Cierra Mickens: She's so cute and adorable. So much potential. But she needs to work on her style more. 


Team Usher

I think Usher has the strongest team this season. He has so many artist with 4-Chairs & 3-Chairs this season. Here are some of my favorites

- Bria Kelly: Her high range is so great. She's the one to beat in this competition. 

- Melissa Jimenez: She used to be a recording artist but I can't remember her name. So commercial and she can sing!!! 

- Jake Barker: This is his first time performed in front of people and he did great. His tone reminds me of Justin Timberlake a little bit. 

- Stevie Jo: Another white R&B singer in Team Usher. He's a huge fan of Usher. Great R&B tone

- Madelyn Paige: She's a singer songwriter. I like her tone. Sweet and smooth. 

- Brittnee Camelle: Another commercial singer from Team Usher. She's a pop singer. She's so gorgeous. 

I think it's going to be a great season. Last season was good but I really hate the way Ceelo treat his artist especially my favorite Caroline Pennell. I'm looking forward to see more.

The Voice USA Season 5 - Live Show #6 Top 5

Hello!!!

It's time for the Top 5 show. Adam still has 3 artists while Blake & Christina have an artist each left in the competition. CeeLo was totally useless now. So let's not talk about him. Only one song this week due to the fact that The Sing Off Season 4 will premiere after The Voice. So only one hour. 

1. James Wolpert (With or Without You) ~ Great song choice for him and it's good. But, I'm not sure if this song will help him to be in the final next week. It was too safe. This song was so overrated. Heard too many version of this so nothing special. B+

2. Will Champlin (Carry On) ~ Love his song choice and it was perfect for him!!! I love his version. His vocal sounds great. I really want to see Will in the final but I'm not sure if he's going to make it. A

3. Jacquie Lee (Angel) ~ Jacquie really needs to tone down her screams and she did that this week. It was so beautiful and subtle. Her voice controls this week is so good. I love this. A

4. Cole Vosbury (Shameless) ~ I think this is a lazy song choice from Blake. Too safe and honestly, Cole isn't a country singer so I don't get this at all. I guess Blake want to make sure that Cole will get the Country votes. B-

5. Tessanne Chin (Bridge Over Troubled Water) ~ I love Clay Aiken's version so much but Tessanne's version was as almost as amazing as Clay's. Her high notes were just perfect and she killed it. Every notes. She used her range so well. I love it. Tessanne nailed it again. I'm so happy when Tessanne hit number one on Itunes. A+


My Top 3 picks and also my picks for the finale are Tessanne Chin, Jacquie Lee & Will Champlin. 

Elimination: James was eliminated first and the second artist eliminated was Cole Vosbury. So 3 out of 3 for me this week. I'm so happy with the finalists. It's going to be a great finale. I'm not sure who's going to win. Every single one of them could win this. 

The Voice USA Season 5 - Live Show #5 Top 6

Hello!!!

This week, the artists will get to sing two songs. One from their mentor and the other one was their own choice.

1. Cole Vosbury ~ Rich Girl & Better Man

I like Better Man but to be honest none of this performance impressed me this week. It was good but nothing special. Cole needs to pick something unexpected and surprised us with his version. I don't get that from him this week. B- & B

2. Tessanne Chin ~ Redemption Song & Unconditionally

Tessanne wow'ed me again this week. With both performances. I think Redemption Song was her best performance yet. Her voice control was great and Unconditionally was great as well. Great vocal performance. Suddenly Tessanne just become my new favorite. A+ & A

3. Matthew Schuler ~ Story of My Life & When A Man Loves A Woman

I thought Story of My Life would be perfect for him. But it didn't work for him. The key didn't suit him for me and When A Man Loves A Woman wasn't for him at all. Just like that Matthew lost his front runner status. Christina... Hmmm. I think Christina gave her focus too much on Jacquie. I think Christina has better chance to win The Voice with Matthew. C+ & C-

4. Will Champlin ~ A Change Is Gonna Come & Hey Brother 

I heard so many version of A Change Is Gonna Come and I found his version was average. Nothing special. But I love Hey Brother. His delivery convinced me enough that he should be in the semi final. B & A-

5. James Wolpert ~ Fell In Love With A Girl & I'd Do Anything For Her.

I love Fell In Love With A Girl. I think it's very cool and sexy but his vocal in his second song didn't impressed me at all. Adam mentioned that James lost his voice. I can see that. I want to see more from James. A- & C

6. Jacquie Lee ~ Cry Baby & The Voice Within

Cry Baby was perfect. One of her best performances. It's totally Jacquie while her second performance was just okay to me. Tamera sing the same song for The X Factor and Katharine McPhee used to sing the same song during American Idol. I love their version more than Jacquie. A & B


My Top 3 performance this week are Redemption Song (Tess), Cry Baby (Jacquie) & Unconditionally (Tess). 

Bottom 2: James Wolpert & Matthew Schuler. Not too surprised with this bottom 2.

Instant Save: James was saved from the elimination. So Matthew was eliminated. Just like that. He used to be a frontrunner but Christina didn't really help him to improve himself and coach him better.
