The X Factor USA Season 3 - Live Show #5 Top 8

Hello!!!

The theme for this week is Big Band. I was like why... And we also have Michael Buble as special mentor for the artist this week.

1. Rion Paige (Swingin') ~ I think she has so much fun. Very energetic. I like it but didn't love it. She needs to work on her vocal more. B+

2. Restless Road (Life Is A Highway) ~ It was so awkward. And Zach.. He's still so awkward. They have potential but I'm not sure about them anymore. B-

3. Jeff Gutt (Feeling Good) ~ I love it. I think it was my favorite performance from him. Unlike Restless Road, Jeff shown lot of improvements especially his pitch. A

4. Josh Levi (Treasure) ~ Another great performance. He's back from the disaster last week. I love his confident level and he looked so natural on stage. A

5. Carlito Olivero (La Cope De Vida/Maria Maria) ~ His best performance so far. This is him. And this is what he should do every week. Very sexy and his vocal is good. A

6. Alex & Sierra (I Knew You Were Trouble) ~ Not so sure about the arrangement but it was a good performance from them. I like it. A-

7. Lillie McCloud (Summertime) ~ I was surprised she was saved last round but I think this is going to be her last week. Nothing special about it. B

8. Ellona Santiago (Mamma Knows Best) ~ This is my favorite performance of the night. Very energetic and her vocal is perfect. She's a natural performer. Her energy is back. A+

My Top 3 picks are Ellona Santiago, Jeff Gutt & Josh Levi.

Bottom 3: Lillie McCloud, Rion Paige & Josh Levi

Instant Elimination: Lillie McCloud. She's a nice woman. But I'm not sure how she's going to fit the music industry.

Sing-Off: Rion was too emotional but it was good but Josh did better than her. His version of When I Was Your Man was so pure and sincere.

Result:

Demi: Josh
Paulina: Rion
Kelly: Rion
Simon: Josh

Deadlock!!! Josh was eliminated since Rion received more votes than him. I was surprised to see Josh eliminated again. He's definitely the best in the Boys Category.

The X Factor USA Season 3 - Live Show #4 Top 10

Hello!!!

The theme for Top 10 show was British Invasion.

1. Jeff Gutt (Bohemian Rhapsody) ~ It was just okay for me. I saw better version of this song before. So this one was above average to me. B

2. Tim Olstad (Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word) ~ Predictable song for him. I like the vocal but it was too safe. Nothing special about this. B

3. Khaya Cohen (Let It Be) ~ I like it. I think Khaya's voice sound so good with a ballad song but I'm not sure if this performance is enough to save her from bottom 3 again. B+

4. Josh Levi (Sweet Dreams) ~ I don't like it. It was too messy and he tried so hard. I preferred his performance last week. B-

5. Alex & Sierra (Best Song Ever) ~ Finally a current song and they did great again. I love how different their version was from One Direction. Love it. A

6. Rion Paige (Your Song) ~ Very honest and sincere. I love her performance. I love the way she country-fied the song. A-

7. Carlito Olivero (Satisfaction) ~ Nope. I don't like the song for him. It was so uncomfortable to watch. C+

8. Lillie McCloud (This Woman's Work) ~ Too old fashioned again. Even her vocal wasn't as good as before. I think she's in trouble. B-

9. Ellona Santiago (Burn) ~ Not sure about this for Ellona. Not a right song for her at all. She has a great and strong vocal but this song didn't gave her any justice. B-

10. Restless Road (Fix You) ~ Average and zzzzz... I don't see any improvement from them at all. B

My Top 3 for this week are Alex & Sierra, Khaya Cohen & Rion Paige.

Bottom 3: Carlito Olivero, Khaya Cohen & Tim Olstad. Not really shocked with the result even though, I was hoping that Khaya will avoid the bottom 3.

Instant Elimination: Khaya Cohen. :( She just didn't clicked well with the general public.

Sing-Off: Carlito was much better than Tim. Tim performed You Raise Me Up while Carlito sang Beneath Your Beautiful. Carlito should stay.

Result:

Paulina: Refuse to Vote
Demi: Tim
Simon: Tim
Kelly: Tim

By 3-0, Tim was eliminated from the competition. His song choices finally bite him. I used to really like him but he never tried to do something unexpected and worthy for us to root for him.

#Churpremiere - The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 3D

Hello!!!

Two days ago, dapat invitation untuk join premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug di TGV Sunway pada 10 Disember ni. So senang lah nak pergi nanti. Aku mungkin akan pergi dengan my roomie, DD. Itu pun kalau dia cuti lah.

Aku suka sangat dengan first movie. Masa first movie dulu pun aku dapat premiere tiket dari (The Star) tapi dekat One Utama dan event dia memang meriah. Banyak booth yang best pasal The Hobbit and also LOTR. Tak sure lah dekat Sunway ni ada event macam tu jugak.

Thank you Churp Churp!!!

The X Factor UK Season 10 - Live Show #8 Top 5

Hello!!!

This week, the contestants will sing 2 songs. The theme for this week called Jukebox Week which consisted two themes (Musical Heroes & Viewers' Choice).

1. Nicholas McDonald

Viewers' Choice (Just The Way You Are) ~ Finally. This is my favorite performance of Nicholas. I think his voice control is great and I love how cool and calm his version is. Great vocal. A

Musical Heroes (Greatest Day by Take That) ~ I think this song is too big for Nicholas. He struggled especially at the chorus. It was quite bad. I will be surprised if he manage to avoid being in bottom 2 this week. C

2. Sam Bailey

Musical Heroes (How Will I Know by Whitney Houston) ~ I love how natural was Sam on the stage. She can move and shake. Solid performance from Sam. A

Viewers' Choice (Clown) ~ Yes, we heard this before at bootcamp but this version is even better. Her emotion. I just can felt it. She looked so beautiful. The dress though reminds me of Adele's dress during the Grammy two years ago. Great vocal. A+

3. Tamera Foster

Musical Heroes (We Found Love by Rihanna) ~ Great performance from Tamera. Very commercial and this is so relevant in the music industry. She looked so comfortable and finally she's having fun. A

Vieweres' Choice (The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face) ~ Slayed. Very simple and subtle but so beautiful. She looked so beautiful. Gorgeous rendition of this song. A+

4. Luke Friend

Viewers' Choice (Skinny Love) ~ Wow!!! I love this. His vocal was great. I really don't know what to say. He continued to surprise me from week to week. A+

Musical Heroes (I Will Wait by Mumford & Sons) ~ Not as great as the first performance but it's still good. This is what his record should sounds like. Pop with the folksy elements in it. A

5. Rough Copy

Musical Heroes (Every Little Step/She's Got The Vibe by Bobby Brown/R Kelly) ~ They have 2 musical heroes so they decided to mash up the song. It was good but I don't think it's a memorable performance at all. B

Viewers' Choice (I Believe I Can Fly) ~ What... I'm really tired with this song but Rough Copy sing it so well. Their harmony was tight. But I just can't with this song anymore. A-

My Top 3 are very clear this week. Sam Bailey, Luke Friend & Tamera Foster. Same as last week. I want them to be in the final.

Bottom 2 ~ Luke Friend & Tamera Foster. What????? I suspected one of them to be in the bottom 2 since Rough Copy performed last and they will get rebound votes from bottom 2 last week, but I was surprised that Nicholas avoid the bottom 2 again. Scottish votes. Damn...

Sing-Off  ~ This is definitely the best Sing-Off so far for this season. Tamera performed The Voice Within and it was so beautiful but Luke he slayed, nailed and killed it with Run. I love Tamera but Luke did better.

Result:

Louis: Tamera
Nicole: Luke
Sharon: Tamera
Gary: Luke

Deadlock!!! I think both of them deserved to move forward but the public favours to Luke more. Tamera was eliminated from the competition. I still remember, I don't really like Tamera at first but she grown on me a lot. She will be signed a record deal. Now I'm worried. Based on the previous record, the contestants who survived the Final 5 sing-off will be eliminated the following week. I remember Danyl, Cher Lloyd, Misha B & Union J last year. I hope Luke survive the semi final next week.

The X Factor UK Season 10 - Live Show #7 Top 6

Hello...

This is my recap to the last week live show. The theme for last week was so interesting which is The Best of The X Factor. Contestants will sing a song sang by previous finalists in the past seasons.

1. Nicholas McDonald (The Climb) ~ No.. This is so predictable. Everything about it so average. I heard so many version of this song before and I think Joe McElderry & Hollie Cavanagh from American Idol 11 did million miles better than Nicholas. Just average for me. B

2. Hannah Barrett (Hallelujah) ~ Alexandra sang this before and I don't think Hannah had the same moment as Alexandra when she performed this. The vocal is good. But so many people sang this song before. And they did better than Hannah so there's nothing special about this performance. A-

3. Luke Friend (What Makes You Beautiful) ~ Luke is getting better from week to week. I love his rendition of this song. He improvised the song according to his musical style and it worked perfectly. A+

4. Rough Copy (Don't Let Go) ~ Little Mix version was just too iconic for them to cover this song. I like their efforts but I think they had trouble with the phrasing and tried too much to sing it like Little Mix. B+

5. Tamera Foster (Impossible) ~ This song is perfect for Tamera and I was so sure this is going to be the Best Performance of the night until she botched the lyrics again. Arghh. But she came back and her high notes were so perfect and beautiful. I love this performance except the part where she forgot the lyrics. A-

6. Sam Bailey (Bleeding Love) ~ Slayed!!! At this point, Sam should win. She never let her fans down. I love the last part of this song. I think it was so beautiful and honest. I felt it. A

My Top 3 are Luke Friend, Sam Bailey and Tamera Foster. Even though Tamera forgot her lyrics I still think it was one of her best performance.

Bottom 2 ~ Hannah Barrett & Rough Copy. I guess Nicholas has so many supporters. He was clearly the weakest performer and he still manage to avoid the bottom 2.

Sing Off ~ Hannah performed so well but the fact that we saw she sing the song before kinda took away the greatness of her performance. Rough Copy also did well with Oasis song. Their harmony was so good. I think they edged out Hannah a little bit here.

Result:

Nicole: Rough Copy
Gary: Hannah
Sharon: Hannah
Louis: Hannah

By 3-1 votes, Hannah Barrett was eliminated from the competition. I'm such a huge fan of Hannah. Really sad to see her go. I think her predictable song choice was her main problem in this competition. Also her growling might rubbed people the wrong way.
