American Idol Season 13 - Finale

Hello!!!

It's time for the finale!!! Jena VS Caleb!!! If Jena win, she'll become one of my favorite winners ever along with Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks & Kris Allen. But if Caleb win, he'll become my least favorite winner ever. Here are my review of this week performances. 

1. Jena Irene (Dog Days Are Over by Florence & The Machine, Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley & We Are One by Jena Irene)

~ Her first song was good. But that song... I don't think that's a perfect song for the finale. That song was given to her by the producer... Oh gosh.. They didn't want her to win. Her reprise for CHFIL was million miles better. Even better than her performance at Top 4. And she did well again for her coronation song. Very catchy and I can see in the music industry as an artist. B+, A+, A

2. Caleb Johnson (Dream On by Aerosmith, Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney & As Long As You Love Me by Caleb Johnson)

~ His first song was perfect for him. I think he did well. His reprise of Maybe I'm Amazed was just okay for me. I prefer the original performance at Top 4. For his last performance, it was obvious that he dislike the song. I think it's too outdated and lame. A-, B+ & B-

Overall, Jena should win. But the fact that Caleb is from South worried me.. People from South, they didn't care who's the better singer. I hope I'm wrong. Here is my final ranking;

American Idol Season 13 - Top 3 Live Show

Hello!!! 

Here are my review of Top 3 performance. 

1. Caleb Johnson (Never Tear Us Apart by INXS, Demons by Imagine Dragons & Dazed & Confused by Led Zeppelin)

~ Caleb was sick. He lost his voice. Arghhh.. I really hate when they milked the sympathy for him. I can't stand all of his performances, especially the last one. Ewwww. And the judges gave him standing ovation. Why? Because he destroyed the mic stand? I hope he's going home. C, C & C-

2. Alex Preston (Pompeii by Bastille, Stay by Rihanna & Story of my Life by One Direction)

~ Alex has a very solid week. Stay was beautiful. One of his best performances. Pompeii was good too. He did something different this week. And Story of my Life was good but I think he should reprised Fairytales over this one. B+, A+ & A-

3. Jena Irene (Titanium by David Guetta Ft Sia, Heart Attack by Demi Lovato & Creep by Radiohead)

~ Titanium & Heart Attack were good. But her reprise of Creep was the best performance from her. Last time, she performed this song, she did really well but this time it was even better. Love her.. B+, B+ & A+

It's very obvious that Jena and Alex should move forward to the Finale. But I doubt it will happen because of the sympathy votes for Caleb. Eww. Here are my ranking for this week performance.

I knew it... Arghhh... Alex ended his journey in American Idol with Fairytales. Great performance from him.. He's definitely the best WGWG ever. Hmmm maybe second behind, Kris Allen. 

Ramalan Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian 2013

Hello!!!

Salah satu majlis anugerah yang paling aku tunggu-tunggu akan berlangsung pada malam ini. Majlis yang sepatutnya berlangsung pada bulan April terpaksa ditangguhkan untuk menghormati mangsa-mangsa tragedi MH370. Aku tak sure pula persembahan apa yang menarik malam ini sebab promosi ABPBH tahun ini agak sederhana. Tiada publisiti sangat. Sedar-sedar dah tiba malam penganugerahan. The Voice Season 6 - Top 5 Live Show

Hello!!!

2 weeks more and then we will find out who's the winner of The Voice Season 6. But first, here are my review of this week performance. Contestants will sing 2 songs; Contestant's Choice & Coach's Choice. 

1. Kristen Merlin (Gunpowder & Lead by Miranda Lambert & Foolish Games by Jewel)

~ Her first performance was so solid. I love her energy but it was a little bit safe for me. But her second performance was brilliant. I love her emotion. She connected to the song really well. Such a perfect song for her. I really want her to be in the final. B & A

2. Josh Kaufman (All Of Me by John Legend & Love Runs Out by OneRepublic)

~ Josh had two good performances this week. I loved All Of Me more than Love Runs Out but he definitely should be in the final. All Of Me was one of the song that I wanted him to sing. Another one is Mirror. I hope he'll get a chance to sing that song next week. A & B+

3. Kat Perkins (Let It Go by Idina Menzel & Chandelier by Sia)

~ Majesty Rose from American Idol performed Let It Go before but it was such a mess. I think Kat did better than Majesty but still, I don't think this is a perfect song for her. I love Chandelier. It's a tough song to sing but I think Kat did a good job with it. B- & A-

4. Christina Grimmie (Hide & Seek by Imogen Heap & Some Nights by Fun)

~ I think vocally, Christina sounded great. I like what she did with Hide & Seek and Some Nights also had some good moment in it but I still think she underperformed. I expected better from her cause she was always great with her song choice. I'm not sure if her fans want to buy these two songs because the original songs were already perfect. A- & B

5. Jake Worthington (Good Ol' Boys by Waylon Jennings & Heaven by Bryan Adams)

~ I was ready to count Jake out after his first performance. There was nothing special with that performance. But then he came up with Heaven and reminded me how I fell in love with his voice. Song choices are crucial for him. With the perfect song, I think he could win this competition. B- & A

~ I'm really sad to see both Kristen & Kat went home but I totally expected that was going to happen. Kristen had so many moments in this season. She's a truly underdog. Same as Kat. I never thought that I'm going to root for her. 

Final 3 is going to be so tough and close. Jake, with the perfect song can win this. Josh is so consistent and he made it to the Top 10 on Itunes Chart more than Christina & Jake (3 times). And Christina will definitely make a comeback after a lackluster week. 

American Idol Season 13 - Top 4 Live Show

Hello!!!

For the first time, Top 4 will sing 3 songs each and the theme for this week are Break-Ups, Dedication & Make-Ups. Here are my review for the show this week. 

1. Caleb Johnson (You Give Love A Bad Name by Bon Jovi, Travelin' Band by CCR & Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney)

~ After Blake Lewis slayed this song back on Season 6, no one should ever try to attempt this song again on Idol. Caleb's version was just okay to me. A little bit karaoke-ish to me. His second song was typical Caleb. Very predictable and safe. I like his third performance the most but still compare to what he did with Skyfall, The Edge Of Glory and Faithfully, this one wasn't really special for me. B-, B- & B+

2. Jessica Meuse (Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson, So What by Pink & You & I by Lady GaGa)

~ Since U Been Gone is such a tough song but Jessica did okay. Nothing special but I kinda like it. I don't get the second song. So her dedication song was So What. Again, another average performance from Jessica but she slayed the third song. I love the way she connects to the song. Her vocal was perfect for this song. I like her version more than Haley Reinhart & Elise Testone. B, B & A

3. Jena Irene (Heartbreaker by Pat Benatar, Bad Romance by Lady GaGa & Can't Help Falling In Love With You by Elvis Praisley

~ I think her first performance was so solid. But that kind of song isn't really my thing. Same as Jessica, Jena's song choice for the dedication was weird. Bad Romance? But I kinda like the arrangement and her energy for this song. Her final performance was epic. Definitely the performance of the season. Her voice, the arrangement, everything was so perfect. B+, B+ & A+

4. Alex Preston (Too Close by Alex Clare, I'm Yours by Jason Mraz & Yellow by Coldplay)

~ I love Too Close. I saw a different side of Alex with this song. As for his second song, I think theme wise, Alex picked the right song to dedicate to someone. But the whole performance felt so safe and predictable. It didn't feel original. But Alex redeemed himself with Yellow. I love his connection with the song. Great song choice from him. B+, B- & A

Overall, such a solid week especially the last round. Everyone stepped up their game. Here are my rankings for this week.

Damn!!! I really want to see Jena-Alex-Jess in the Top 3. I can't believe that Caleb managed to sneak in the Top 2. I'm so sad to see Jess went home. No matter what, Summertime Sadness is still going to be one of my favorite performance for this season. I'll see you guys again next week!!! Top 3!!!
